  • The Ops Group’s Schedule Management processes involve planning, organizing, and monitoring a project’s timeline to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and on time.  We begin by identifying the project’s key deliverables and breaking them down into manageable tasks.  We then use Project Management software to sequence these tasks based on dependencies, priorities, and resource availability.  This creates the schedule that drives the project from “point A” to a successful completion.

    Once the schedule has been developed and the project is launched, we closely track its progress to identify potential delays or other issues, allowing us to quickly and proactively enact corrective solutions that get the project back on track.

  • The Ops Group’s Budget Management processes provide a detailed and systematic approach to developing the project budget and managing project resources.  We begin by creating a comprehensive list of all project expenses - including construction, equipment, supplies, administrative overhead, labor, product, and much more.  From this list we establish initial project cost estimates for each expense, using historical data from past projects and a technique known as Three Point Estimation.  As project planning progresses, we continuously refine these estimates based on new information, including actual proposals and quotes.  Shortly before the execution phase of the project begins, we lock the estimates into a formal budget that guides decision making for the remainder of the project.  Once the budget is established, we closely monitor spending to ensure that the project remains on budget - identifying discrepancies early and making adjustments to prevent overspending.

  • Project Work Management ensures that project activities are executed in coordination with the project schedule, project budget, and project management plan.  It involves leading and inspiring the project team, overseeing work execution, controlling work quality, and coordinating efforts across team members and other stakeholders.  Project Work Management also includes collecting and managing work performance data, which is analyzed for insights that could help improve the performance of current and future projects.
